Hi, I’m Patti Wenzel and the owner of Cream City Fabrics.

I have been sewing for over 40 years, when my mother gave me a machine and a simple pattern and said, “If you’re going to marry a Pastor, you’ll never have money, so you better learn to sew for your kids.” After that simple two-piece pattern, I was hooked and have been sewing for myself, my children, and others ever since.

I also have experience in running fabric stores, having started my career as the merchandise manager at Jo-Ann Fabrics and also managing a quilting store in Northern Wisconsin. Most recently, I was the fashion technology and sewing instructor at Wisconsin Lutheran High School, imparting my love of sewing and fabrics to a new generation of sewists.
